Well, there is the map on flickr that i’ve sort-of populated.

But it doesn’t show all the photos at once, you need to use the arrow next to the string if thumbnails to show more/different ones…

Well, someone treated you to lunch yesterday, so it’s like you are giving back to the universe. Or something.

I am with you on all points re: treating oneself, quality of Caribou v. Starbucks, battery-charging properties of doing something different, and, yet, abhorrence of $4 coffee price. Glad to know we’re in sync.

Don’t let this bother you too much. I’ve been on the teacher side of the equation as well. I understand it’s hard that you didn’t get to say goodbye, but this really was the best for both of you. The worst drop offs EVER are the parents who insist on making sure little Johnny is all better before they leave. Yet, despite the tears, little Johnny is happy as a clam no less than 5 minutes after the parents are gone.
Drop offs will get better and you will be able to have hugs and kisses before he goes to the class room. But when Nathan starts crying, it’s best to drop and run.

I saw this page when researching this quote for a friend:

The quote is slightly different, it’s “I love these little people; and it is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us.”

Looks like it is from Dickens’s novel The Old Curiosity Shop (1841), and he has the narrator say it after talking to a little kid.
