Warren Dunes
helloheather posted an overview of the weekend, so I'll not replicate it here.
This photo jumped out at me last night when running through the digital camera download (film is being processed today).
helloheather took the above photo of me Saturday evening while we were out enjoying the sunset. The light is really nice, I quite like it. The shutter speed was slow enough to show movement but not too slow as to show camera shake. But mostly, the image captures for me exactly how I was feeling getting my feet and jeans wet while enjoying what turned out to be an excellent sunset. I don't know how easily this feeling can be conveyed to others, unless you've been in a similar position, but for me it's the photo that best sums up the evening on the beach.
I took this snapshot (and it's exactly that) I took while waiting for the rain to move off:
Farmers Market
Oh Farmers Market how you taunt me. Oh Farmers Market how you seduce me with your wares: your herbs, and asparagus, and spices, and breads, and flowers. Later will come the peppers and corn and fruits and jams and...
And I want to buy it all. I /need/ 3 bags of spinach; I must have 4lbs of potatoes; I will use a quart of fresh honey!
Oh Farmers Market, you are my nemeses and my savior.
(((( cetan.org )))))))))))))))
(((( cetan.org )))))))))))))))
I'm still not much further along with developing cetan.org. I am slowly working towards a design, but have disabled it temporarily in favor of the first design I started using.
This is a lot more work than I thought it would be, and with the yard work taking up so much of my time, it's progressing rather slowly.
Speaking of progressing, now that this wordpress journal is up and running, I find the prospect of leaving LJ very frightening. No longer will I be able to post "Friends Only." I will either have to self-censor or let everything hang out (as they say). This is something of an irony I guess, because it was censorship on the part of LJ that drove me to create a personal wordpress blog. *sigh* I'm not sure where to go from here. I should break ties before my paid-account on LJ comes do...
